The "Chabad on the Coast" community reconnects Tel Aviv's English-speaking demographic with its Jewish heritage.

6 במרץ 2016

You may or may not have heard about the "Chabad on the Coast" community based in Tel Aviv, whose mission it is to reconnect the English-speaking demographic of the White City with its Jewish heritage. Chabad on the Coast is the love child of Eli and Sara Naiditich.

Having been involved in Jewish outreach together for several years, they seek to align people’s religious identity with Tel Aviv’s vibrant and cultural life. Their services include a range of different young professional events, Torah classes, and "kitchen koshering," but the highlight of this community has to be their special dinner events for Shabbat and holidays. Whether Friday night dinner or Shabbat lunch, Eli and Sara invite you to enjoy a home cooked meal with "great company and Chassidic melodies."

You can sign up as a group, or fly solo, but either way it is a medley of  wonderful conversations with strangers-turned-friends. For Purim 2016, everyone is invited to step into the 1920s and its roaring jazz scene.

The event will be held at ZooZoo, a new hotspot on the corner of Rothschild Boulevard and Allenby Street. Live music, good (kosher) food, and an open bar will bring together hundreds of young internationals providing the perfect alternative to Tel Aviv’s big Purim parade in a more intimate fashion that truly feels like a family gathering.
