For the first time ever, Global Wellness Day was represented by an Israeli ambassador, Miriam Zehavi. President of international cosmetics company ‘Christina’, she was chosen as Israel’s first ambassador of Global Wellness Day. The social project of cross-border volunteering, Global Wellness Day is an established non-profit, set to encourage and increase public awareness of the importance of living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. The international Global Wellness Day festival is celebrated every year in 100 countries worldwide during the second week of June- a day dedicated only for physical and mental health, many countries have turned it into a public holiday. Global Wellness Day 2016 saw massages, facials, health workshops, yoga workshops and lectures- together with other countries at the Synergy Spa Hotel in Ein Gedi, near the Dead Sea. ‘Christina’ carries the banner of excellence in the beauty and aesthetics industry. Founded by Mary and Joseph Zehavi in 1982, the company produces over 350 different cosmetic products, marketed in over 57 countries worldwide today.
