Rova Alef
The collaboration between the boutique Elkonin Hotel and chef Evyatar Malka and his partners has given birth toRova Alef, probably the best new kosher restaurant in the city right now. The menu connects Malka’s hometown with Tel Aviv through fish dishes (mostly) and pasta (less), featuring some real standouts like “Red on Red” (tuna sashimi in cherry aguachile and harissa) and a seafoodchamusta, as well as the new brunch menu.

Manara
The beautiful strip of sand at Frishman Beach provides the perfect backdrop for this kosher fish restaurant, skillfully led by chef Yuval Pechler. Inspired by an imaginary lighthouse illuminating the Mediterranean basin, you can enjoy here excellent fish and pasta dishes made using a variety of techniques – from grill to Josper and, of course, raw preparations. The elegant atmosphere and powerful air conditioning make it easy to disconnect from the hustle and focus on your plate, the sunset, and your dining partner.

Chef Michal Epstein’s (It’s) bagel spot is the newest darling of the Old North – part diner, part café, offering sexy and original takes on the iconic American pastry. The line is long (come early – when it’s gone, it’s gone) and the prices aren’t low, but the flavor is sky-high. Ever since her carrot cake, we’ve been smitten with everything Epstein touches.

Nini Hachi
A long-standing, beloved kosher sushi and Japanese restaurant. The vibe is lively and fun, and the menu features sushi, noodles, and a variety of Asian dishes alongside vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Expectant mothers are served sushi prepared on a separate line – a thoughtful gesture worthy of applause.

Esther HaMalka
Everything influencer Adel Bespalov touches turns to gold – food included. In collaboration with her restaurateur husband, Mitch Abed,Esther HaMalkawas born – a kosher fast-food spot that’s setting social media ablaze. Burgers with glitzy toppings, chicken wings, crispy chicken, and more bear regal names, yet the prices are quite reasonable – which might explain the line outside the door.

Gogi’s Grill Bar
At any other time and place, a skewer for 19 shekels and a pita for 27 would sound suspicious – but we checked, and there are no tricks here. Gogi’s Grill Bar relies on volume and manages to serve decent, satisfying meat dishes at prices Tel Aviv forgot long ago. For that alone, they deserve a “Citizen of the City” award.

Taverna Del Mar
Not every chef’s restaurant needs an army of waiters and white tablecloths.Taverna Del Martakes its food seriously but loosens up everywhere else – after all, this is the Carmel Market. During the week, you’ll find sexy sandwiches stuffed with fish patties and other delights; come Friday, the place transforms into a lively taverna serving dishes chef Tom Aviv cooks straight from the heart. Light, casual, and lots of fun.

Malka
It may be quite a veteran – eight years old, to be exact – but this January, Malka left its legendary Asia House location for a new, spacious, and beautifully designed space in Midtown. With the move came a more vibrant vibe, new menu additions, and an excellent pastry section. The iconic schnitzel, in case you were wondering, remains as perfect as ever.

Dvora
Upon opening, chef Eyal Shani described Dvora as “the talented, wild, and unruly daughter of Malka.” Since then, the surrounding noise has subsided, the plastic toys have been cleared away, and the menu has aligned with Shani’s other ventures. You’ll find here familiar favorites like green beans in a paper bag and more proven hits. Judging by the food alone – it’s delicious. Truly delicious.

Darya
When it opened four years ago, the phenomenalDaryabrought the spirit of the Silk Road and the childhood influences of chef Hillel Tavakuli to the table. Since then, the kitchen team and the menu have changed, yet the high standard remains. Add to that the polished Hilton service and the stunning sea-view terrace, and it’s still at the top of its game.

Whisky Bar Museum
Nothing in this renovated Templar cellar hints at any religious association. The shelves hold over 1,000 bottles of whisky from around the world; the design is sleek and modern (complete with a masculine, sexy cigar bar); and the atmosphere rivals that of any trendy city bar. The food is excellent, and no one will believe you when you tell them it’s kosher.

Hanan Margilan
It may be labeled a Bukharan working-class restaurant, but the food at Hanan Margilan is divine. Lagman, doshpara, oshpelo and kebab are dishes we could happily eat every day, and if there’s still room, don’t skip the juicy guzgizha for dessert.

Flame
The kosher chef’s restaurant has faced challenges since October 7. Its mighty grill – searing vegetables, fish, and meats and infusing them with smoky fire aroma – is now under the confident leadership of chef Oren Asido. The menu has expanded, adding great new dishes (try the Moroccan bao – you won’t regret it), reflecting a significant step up in culinary standard. The space at the Carlton Hotel feels like a brief escape abroad, with the sea shimmering just beyond the window as a bonus.
